There are also among the Turkish population in Belgium Azeri Shi'a Muslims from the region of Iğdır. They have a mosque in the municipality of Molenbeek (26 rue Jennart), one of the municipalities in the Brussels Region, till 2004 called Mohammed-Ali, since then Centre culturel et religieux islamique chiite Mohammed-Ali. Its board of administrators of three persons, the President, the Secretary and the Treasurer, are all born in Iğdır, two of them have the dual Turkish-Belgian citizenship and live in Brussels, the third one was only a Turkish citizen when he was elected in 2004, he lives in the Flemish city of Aalst, a 20-odd km from Brussels.[1]
